Paul Nielsen is an Accredited and Certified Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor (CM&AA), a Certified Practicing Business Broker (C.P.B.B.), an Accredited Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser (CMEA), a Fellow of the Institute of Directors & Managers (FIIDM), a Chartered Member of the Association of Professional Merger and Acquisitions Advisors, a fully licensed Real Estate Agent (L.R.E.A), Licensed Second Hand Dealer and Senior Business Analyst (SBA) as well as President of the Queensland Chapter of the Australian Institute of Business Brokers (A.I.B.B), the peak National body which provides advice to Industry & Government.

Paul also serves as Vice Presidency of the AIBB nationally and assumes the role of President of the National Organisation in late 2010.

Additional industry affiliations include Membership of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (MACID), The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia Business Valuation Special Interest Group, the U.S. Based International Business Brokers Association (IBBA), the Institute of Business Appraisers (IBA) the National Equipment & Business Brokers Institute (NEBBI), the Society of Business Analysts (SBA), and the Alliance of Merger & Acquisition Advisers and the Queensland Justice Association (QJA). Paul serves as a Justice of the Peace (Qualified) and is on the Board of Examiners of the AIBB Registered Business Valuers Course.  Paul travels regularly both interstate and overseas, to meet clients and attend conferences and certification courses to keep abreast of industry practices and regulatory issues locally and internationally.

Paul has Managed businesses with up to 60 Employees and has Owned 9 Small Businesses of his own over a 30 + year period. Paul has broad experience in Corporate Negotiations and Corporate Governance, General Management, Sales & Marketing, Personnel Management and Bottom Line Profit Creation. Paul currently holds active Directorships in 5 Private Companies and is the Chairman of the One World Orphans Fund Inc (a not for profit charity) in addition to Consulting as a Specialist Business Consultant and Intermediary where he negotiates a range of Corporate Agreements and transactions including Corporate Reorganisations and MBO’s, MBI’s, SME Non Public Sales & Acquisitions, Joint Ventures, Mergers and Acquisitions of privately held companies with Turnovers up to A$150 million within his specialist areas of expertise in the Manufacturing, Import/Distribution, Wholesale, Intellectual Property, IT, Health Care and Franchising areas. In addition, Paul provides fee based Business Valuations and Certified Plant and Equipment Appraisals, Recruits Key Executives for Client Companies, provides Business Mentoring and Succession Planing Advice, sits as an Independent Director on Private Company Boards and has lectured to Government, Industry and Accounting Groups on “Business Exit Strategies” and “Buying the Right Business”

Paul has been awarded a number of Industry awards such as the Queensland Business Broker of the Year Award in recognition of his assistance to the Industry and personal achievements in negotiating on behalf of his clients.
